Last week in March saw me out in the Healey with top down and 20 degrees! Time for a service and getting ready for Drive It day, I’ll be joining Yorkshire at Colne, so fingers crossed on weather. Seems like Mike Stonier has been dusting down his own collection (below), even getting the Club trailer into the picture.

News from around the North
After a fantastic turnout last year, we are expecting another great event in 2022 at Gawsworth Hall on 2nd May, so contact Jonathan on treasurer@ahc-northern.org.uk for full details of how to get hold of tickets.
The AHC Northern Centre has up to 10 free tickets (worth £39 each) for car and occupants at the “Yorkshire Elegance Celebration Day”. If you are prepared to display your Healey on the Northern Centre stand at the event, remember all types are wanted on the display. Celebration day is on Wed 20th July at Bowcliffe Hall just South of Wetherby. More details on Northern centre

Trevor Gammage has been busy with our “Northern toolbox” purchasing tools & setting up the website page so members can see them and understand how they can be used. Keep an eye on the Northern Centre website for more news and launch of the webpages.
For those attending the Gold Cup at Oulton Park, The process for discounted tickets has opened on the MSV website. Basically, you need to open an account with MSV (or sign-in if you already have one) on their website to buy your own tickets, but you should also bid for the AH Club Stand discount (50% off car and driver) on that site. If, like me you don’t understand all that, give Mike Stonier a call & he’ll talk you through it!
DRIVE IT DAYS Sunday 24th April,
- Yorkshire Drive It day: Starting at Colne and driving through the Trough of Bowland to Morcambe for Lunch. Jeff has received 24 confirmations and is asking everyone to confirm their lunch choices by Saturday 2nd April please. Let Jeff know ASAP 07800 974418
- North Wales Drive It day: Meet at the Tweedmill, St. Asaph, back row of the car park at 10.00am in time for a coffee. Moving off at 10.45 to 11am (so we don't all end up in convoy) lunch will be at 2.00pm. Please, only apply if you intend to take part, if it's pouring, please come in a tin top. - Murray Scott Nelson of Scarborough have agreed to host a workshop visit by AHC members on 21st May after the visit it’s a drive up to Oliver’s Mount (England’s only real road racing circuit) with Lunch booked at Oliver’s Mount Café. 15 booked in, Call Jeff on 07800974418 if interested.
- Tatton Park, Cheshire 4-5th June “Classic and Performance Car Show”. Contact Mike Stonier on 07941757648

- Newby Hall, Ripon lovely setting, with a huge turnout of up to 1500 classic cars. On Sunday 17th July, website suggests the numbers will be limited to 500 cars. Watch this space for more details.
