Busy old May, what with a Coronation, a new Deputy Prime minister and with events and activities all over the Northern Centre region.
This summer’s diary is now absolutely jam packed. There are only two weekends from now until the beginning of October that don’t have an event going on somewhere in the Northern Centre. News
48 cars and 93 members (over half of them from Northern Centre) were blessed with beautiful countryside and bracing weather at the May Bank Holiday Weekend at the Blackwell Grange Hotel in Darlington. Super routes and great locations are the hallmark of this awesome event. Thanks to Paul & Jacqui Johnson and Mike & Bernadette Stonier for yet another epic. Dates in the diary for next year are 3rd-6th May 2024

Lots of Healey racing action in the North with Northern members in action at a number of events in Anglesey, Oulton Park and Loton Park. Various degrees of success seen and supported by Northern Centre members at all venues. Well done Murray Shand, Robert Owen, Simon & John Hughes and John Ducker.

If you have missed out on the competition in May then don’t miss the Healey Sports visit to the Harewood Hill Climb for rounds 5 & 6 of the Speed Championships on 3/4 June, or back to Anglesey on 1/2 July for the Swinging Sixties.
Great work Tony Ball for organising a viewing of the private collection of Steven Leckie, the Owner/CEO of the Crieff Hydro, with Healeys “making their own way” from all over Scotland for a super tour. Nice way to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the epic European Healey Meet at Crieff in 2013.

Booking for the AVRO BBQ on 25th August is Open! Full details are on the Northern Centre website. Tickets cost £20 pp which includes entry to the AVRO Heritage museum, car photoshoot with the Vulcan, a 2 hour peak district drive and top BBQ. Limited numbers, 20 cars and 40 members, means that this is a first come first served ticketed affair.

- 8th-9th July - Glamis Castle. 47th Scottish Transport Extravaganza. No Healey stand this year but see new event at Thirlstaine above.

- 2nd-3rd September 2023 - Croft Nostalgia The North Eastern team are planning to return to the Croft Circuit to attend the Historic Sports Car Club Race meeting.
