With cracking weather for the start of July, we were blessed with some wonderful venues, great cars and a chance to drive a few miles with hoods down!

Big thanks to Ian Walker, who pulled out all the stops to make the Glamis Castle event in Scotland on the 9/10 July a great success. A great event and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Holker Hall in the South Lakes, the following weekend saw three local members turn up and two of us driving up from Wilmslow after an early start. What Holker lacks in size, it makes up for with location a lovely friendly feel.
The Yorkshire contingent had a great time at Newby Hall managing to get 17 cars into the show. There were fantastic range of cars from Stephen Owens 100S (recently returned from this year's Mille Miglia), 100/4 100/6, all marks of the 3000 and Frogeye Sprites.

Following last year’s Bowcliffe Hall event, the Northern Centre were invited back this year to the “Yorkshire Elegance” as one of the car clubs chosen to support the event which included many of the prestige brands from the 1950s & 60s.. The whole event spanned 3 days in July including a Harewood Hill climb, a Tour of Yorkshire and the Bowcliffe Hall Celebration. Throughout the day members were entertained by the delightful “Bluebirds” who took advantage of some time off the stage to come to the AHC stand and check out for themselves the space and versatility of the Austin Healey Cockpit!

Jeff Hollinshead has found his planner for “Last of the Summer Drive” which is open to anyone either side of the Pennines. Date looks to be 2nd October, starting at the Oil Can Café (where else!) with a round trip of around 50 miles. - contact Jeff on 07800974418 for more details

- New Event - Sunday 4th September 2022. Longridge Vehicle Extravaganza. A car show that will interest members in the Preston area.
