Early September saw the Northeast Group descend on Croft Nostalgia. What started off with rather a damp day, soon turned into an impressive line-up of cars, including a Healey 100, 100-6, together with a 3000 Mk1. 2. and 3 the display looked fantastic. The Club had a great position not far from the racetrack with excellent views of the racing. Thanks to Murray Shand for organising a brilliant event, maybe a new one for the 2023 Calendar?

The Longridge Vehicle Extravaganza, saw 5 members arrive, albeit with just a couple of Healeys present, (although one in a Daimler Dart). This was the first time this event has been held and member Peter Evans reckons it’s well worth a trip in 2023.
For those of us who managed to get to the Revival, the weather was perfect and the racing, as always, legendary. I caught up with Jack Rawles on Saturday, just as he had managed 5th place on the grid for Friday evenings race... safe to say he was very pleased, although he ran well in the race, the Healey 100S, he didn’t get a podium place. Seems lots of other members attended, watching the posts on WhatsApp! as well as some 3000’s racing later in the weekend.

Tony Gallagher attended the “Southport Classic & Speed” on 11th September, mentioning that there was a decent turnout of Healey’s, seems there is a parade and a speed run! Whilst members heard about it a bit last minute, all thought it was a good show and worth adding into the 2023 Calendar.

By now you should have received an email from Doug McClymont, the Chairman, regarding this year’s Northern Centre AGM. Taking place at 8pm on Wednesday 26th October 2022. Members can join the AGM virtually or in person at the meeting, everyone is welcome, hear how the Centre is run and what’s planned for the coming year. - The Skittles Night at the Bickerton Poacher, Wrexham Rd, Bulkeley, Malpas, SY14 8BE is to take place 4th October at 7pm. Mike tells me he still has a few places left, a cracking evening, so get your bowling boots on and give Mike a call on 07941757648 to confirm numbers. The cost is £15 per head including a hot pie supper!
